This I must say was an eye opener, when we say we don’t have enough time. It is So not true ,I have proved to myself that I can find the time. I was really entrenched in this process this month, and had a fun time doing it. So now I need to keep this momentum going, painting away.
These are my 30 , and pleased overall. Thanks for taking a look 🙂
The home stretch just one more day. I must say I have not painted so much ever! I really am enjoying it. Another little scenery by the same river as the previous days painting.
It measures 5 x7 on arches 300 pound watercolor paper done with daniel smith paints. Im also adding the cropped picture. So to add to the 30 in 30 challenge. Easier to up load and is neater for the 30 in 30 blog.

Wow I’ve been hanging in there keeping up with the painting! Feels good! This is a small little 5 x 7 done on Arches watercolor paper. Scenery was inspired from a photograph I took a few years back. Just a quick little sketch in watercolor but would love to do something more involved with this in the future.
Hey there, day 22 8 days to go before this challenge is done. WOW amazed I’m keeping up. This little painting is about 2 inches by 4 inches done on a piece of ripped watercolor paper. So very rough edges 300 pound cold pressed paper. The heavier the paper the more water it can take.
Day 20 Happy to say I’ve been keeping up with the challenge. Not overly happy with this one. The wintery scene just looks static, the river is going up hill.. almost like it is a road way. Will promise myself to do this one over, at a later date.
Just having fun with washes the last few days. Trying not to get to heavy with the paint. Nothing too special not any major techniques other than wet in wet. I did let things dry a little bit. Trying to learn to be patient. I must pull out the hair dryer that may help the situation. This was a scene from a picture I took up in North Conway NH
Bass harbor light house on Mt Dessert Island Maine. This painting measures 5×7 inches on arches 300 watercolor paper. I am also posting a WIP picture and the actual picture used for inspiration. The Wip photos are very few because of how quickly these small paintings progress. Not to many stopping points. Very quick rendering.
Almost done adding a bit more shading and detailThe very beginning “ugly” stage. You think it will never look ok..Actual picture I used for inspiration. Please ask permission to use any of my photos. These are my personal collection.
My finished Painting done from a picture I took a few years ago. Cadillac mountain watching the sunset. Gorgeous place to go and visit no doubt. But I am finding more and more that I somewhat use the picture as a jumping off point. But totally ignore it pretty quickly as I start painting.. Yea I guess I”m finally getting loose and more painterly.
I must say I was not having much hope with this one as it started, therefore I only took one work in progress picture.. Thought it was going to be on the scrap pile. I’m happy with the final result. But having said that I took another picture of it and cropped it a little bit more on the left side.. That green bush there is just to dominate for my liking. Just scroll down to see WIP picture and Actual picture.
I do like it better , but either way will work. I have added the one shot of during the painting process and the inspiration picture that was taken by me. Thank you for stopping by to check it out.
This was the beginning of this painting.Actual picture I did this painting from
Quick little wet in wet 2 x 5 inch painting done on arches post card. It was a paint and run kind of day. I think for fun for next few I will take a picture of the inspiration and possibly works in progress pictures. Its fun to see the progression I think. This little painting really just went on as you see it. Not to many layers.
